CA Literary Journal Update: The Pomona Valley Review

Established in 2002 by Dr. Faith Barrett, Pomona Valley Review is a liberal arts journal published by the California Poly Pomona English & Foreign Languages Department. PVR publishes both classic literature as well as “edgy, provocative, and groundbreaking literature which attempts to deconstruct the paradigms that have supported the English intelligentsia over the past centuries.” They largely feature the work of student authors from Southern California colleges and universities throughout Southern California, but will also consider work outside of this area equally for submission.

PVR is an online, annual liberal arts journal which publishes short fiction, poetry, and art on a selective basis by new and established authors. All unsolicited manuscripts are considered equally for publication, and new, original, and provocative work which challenges traditional literary paradigms is desired. Subscription to their online publication is free. They are a nonprofit organization.
