New short story “The Geotour” in Angel City Review

My story, “The Geotour,” is in Issue 12 of ANGEL CITY REVIEW. I wrote his story many years ago in Mike Buckley’s fiction writing class. it was always dear to me, but I never quite got the frame for it right (especially the beginning and the end). When I did figure that out, I was set to include it in my collection–IF I WERE THE OCEAN, I’D CARRY YOU HOME. It’s a story about young people being left to their own devices in a world hostle to them, which sounds exactly right for the book, but I couldn’t fit it into the narrative flow of the book as a whole. So, THE GEOTOUR became, as Zach calls it, “a b-side.”
